Oddsmakers are fully on the Chase Elliott train now. The Cup Series leader is the oddsmakers’ favorite to win the Kwik Trip 250, the second time in three races that Elliott has been the favorite to win.
Elliott is given +500 odds, or an implied 16.7% chance to win his second race in a row. Oddsmakers have Kyle Larson as his biggest competition at +700, or an implied 12.5% chance to win the race. Ross Chastain isn’t far behind either at +850, or an implied 10.5% chance to win the race.
No other driver is given better than +1200 odds this week. With Martin Truex Jr. leading the second tier of drivers at +1200, or an implied 7.7% chance. The once again hot Ryan Blaney is given +1500 odds, or an implied 6.3% chance to win.
Quote from OddsChecker spokesman Kyle Newman, “Oddsmakers seem to finally be taking this season’s results seriously. With Chase Elliott establishing himself atop the pecking order, and Ross Chastain not far behind him. That said, Kyle Larson is still very much at the front of oddsmakers’ minds and isn’t going anywhere any time soon.”
