Lin Tops Charts In Friday Practice At Road America

Elkhart Lake – After Ricky Taylor set the quickest lap in the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Series opening practice at Road America, Alex Lin did a lap over one second better in the afternoon practice to top the charts for the day.
Driving the #01 Cadillac Racing Cadillac DPi-V.R, Lin closed out the session with that fast lap, besting Taylor’s Arura co-driver Felix Albuquerque who held the quickest lap for most of the session.
Sebastien Bourdais also saved the best for last in the #02 Cadillac, also besting Albuquerque on the final lap to set the second quickest time.
Ryan Dalziel topped the charts in LMP2 in his Era Motorsport ORECA. Gabby Chaves was quickest in his Ligier JS P320 in LMP3, Driving the Lexus RC F GT3, Jack Hawksworth led GTD PRO. Frankie Montecalvo in the Lexus RC F GT3 was quickest in GTD.
Qualifying is set to air live on IMSA.com/TVLive beginning at 11:55 a.m. ET.
On Sunday, the green flag is scheduled to fly at 11:40 a.m. ET. Peacock and IMSA Radio will have live flag-to-flag coverage, and USA Network will join at noon.
